Saido Berahino’s move from West Brom to Tottenham is set to run into the final few hours of the transfer window with Albion chairman Jeremy Peace unwilling to consider selling the England Under 21 striker for less than £25million.

Berahino, 22, is desperate to move to White Hart Lane and partner Harry Kane.

Privately, Albion manager Tony Pulis also accepts a deal before Monday’s 11pm deadline might be in the best interests of player and club.

Chelsea will move for £60million-rated Antoine Griezmann in the summer if Eden Hazard pushes to join either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain.

The Frenchman, 24, who has been superb for Atletico Madrid in the past two seasons and is one of the most-wanted attacking players in European football, has previously been deemed off limits by the Spanish club, who were facing a FIFA transfer ban in the summer and in January 2017 for signing underage players.

Yet that ban has now been suspended for this summer while an appeal is heard, meaning Griezmann, who has a £60m buy-out clause — the most-expensive in the history of Atletico Madrid — could be allowed to leave, as the funds would allow the club to rebuild before having to miss out on the next two transfer windows.

Everton have made an enquiry for Lokomotiv Moscow striker Oumar Niasse.

The Senegal international was courted by Sunderland earlier in the window but Lokomotiv were holding out for more than £15million.

Everton are looking to spend around £13m but know that Niasse’s wife is based in Manchester and hope that will sway negotiations.
