Maddison helps Norwich edge Ipswich

James Maddison

James Maddison has now scored three goals this season

Norwich extended their unbeaten league run over East Anglian rivals Ipswich to nine games with a win at Portman Road.

James Maddison’s curling strike was the only goal of the match, and gave Daniel Farke’s side their fourth consecutive away victory in the Championship.

Hosts Ipswich wasted a number of first-half opportunities, with Jonas Knudsen and David McGoldrick both coming close.

The result means Mick McCarthy’s team have now lost four of their previous five matches in the division.
