Granit Xhaka is happy to have completed his ‘dream’ move to Arsenal ahead of Euro 2016.

The 23-year-old put pen to paper on a £35million move on Wednesday after developing into one of the Bundesliga’s finest midfielders with Borussia Monchengladbach.

Xhaka expressed how delighted he was with the switch after Switzerland lost 2-1 in a friendly against Belgium on Saturday.

He told Sky Sports News : ‘I feel good, now I’m happy to be a Gunner. It’s been a big week for me, but now it’s official and I’m very happy. 

‘Arsenal is a big club. I’ve seen the pitch, it’s unbelievable. It was a dream for me and I’m happy now.’

The midfielder is seen as an ideal addition for Arsenal and is expected to settle quickly – he is both aggressive and able to play as a box-to-box midfielder.
